In addition to the market rate communities included throughout this
website, the Company has also built and manages low and moderate income subsidized
housing.
Long ago, Gene B. Glick set out on a mission to create quality,
affordable, livable housing for everyone. Today that mission is just as important as
ever.
That means the Gene B. Glick Company uses exacting criteria which do not
differentiate between managing subsidized and market rate properties. It means the
grounds and exteriors of subsidized properties are indistinguishable from those of a
high-end, market rate community. It means the same spacious floor plans, the same
preventative maintenance programs, the same standards for tact and thoughtfulness among
the staff are not "extras" but expected in all of our communities.
The Gene B. Glick Company believes that all people should be able to
take pride in their home and in the community where they live. The U.S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has been so impressed with the Glick style of
management that it requested copies of company manuals for use with their people.
Recently eight Glick properties received HUD's award for High Performing Properties. In
total, the Glick organization received more HUD awards than any other company of its size
in the nation.
The company manages properties that were built under a variety of HUD
affordable housing programs.
