That Make Glick Tick.
We believe that respect is at the heart of making any kind of lasting change in our world. Healthy self-respect breeds competence and responsibility and a willingness to help others. Respect for others transcends social status, age, income, race, or any other characteristic that might otherwise separate individuals. It's only on that bridge of mutual respect that real success can be achieved.
We are committed to integrity-to being responsible and compassionate, to doing the right thing, to putting character above achievement. These are the qualities we admire and that we aspire to exhibit, both individually and as a company.
We prize excellence, and we seek in everything we undertake to meet the highest standards and to perform to the best of our ability. We consider honest self-evaluation, continual improvement, and tenacious innovation to be the keys to achieving and maintaining excellence.
We see growth as a state of being, as an inherent and insatiable drive to improve, to excel, to learn. Because growth fosters change, and change is how we will make a difference.
Often times, it's the small things we do that make a big difference. Noreen from CS LaPorte appreciates how our maintenance man, Mike, always does a little bit more than he is asked and is always pleasant. In our book, these aren't extras; they're just who we are at Glick.
Another resident writes: I recently moved into our apartment, and Rachel at Williamsburg North in Indianapolis has been nothing shy of incredible. She has always been professional, courteous, honest, friendly, and so many other adjectives I could describe her with. She always addresses me by name and makes me feel as if we are friends. She sympathizes and really puts herself in her tenants' shoes. Thank you, Rachel, for truly making me feel welcome and for everything you do.
I live in Woodlake Apartments and wanted to give a big compliment to our Property Manager, Lindsey. She always goes above and beyond to help with any problem or concern, and always follows up with me in a very timely manner.
We think Marcia in Louisville sums it up nicely,
"Glick has great employees!"
Our business is family, and this focus begins internally, with how we care for our Glick team members. We care about people first, and we want our team members to feel taken care of, like family, right from the start.Glick takes particular pride in offering a complete and comprehensive benefits package. Health, dental, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, a retirement plan, and an employee assistance program are included.
We review our benefits package annually to ensure it provides the best coverage we can afford and is meeting the needs of our team members.
This plan is a pretax contribution account, which allows you to contribute up to 80 percent of your base pay, subject to IRS limits. The company will match 120 percent of the first 5 percent and 100 percent of the next 1 percent for a total employer match of 7 percent.
Glick offers a comprehensive health plan paired with an employer-funded Health Reimbursement Account. A voluntary wellness program, including annual incentives, quarterly campaigns, and wellness coaching with a personal health advocate is also available.
The program includes benefits for preventative, basic, and major dental care, as well as orthodontia benefits.
This program includes coverage for vision exams, glasses, and contact lenses.
Flexible spending accounts offer team members a way to reimburse themselves with pretax dollars for eligible health care expenses.
The company provides life insurance coverage equal to the base salary rounded down to the next increment of $5,000. Additional coverage may be purchased at competitive rates through the company's supplemental plan.
Both plans pay a percentage of base salary if a team member is unable to work due to a non-work-related disability.
Glick recognizes that there are conditions or situations outside of the work environment that can affect individual performance on the job. The EAP provides assessment, crisis intervention, brief therapy, and referral for team members and their dependents who may be experiencing personal problems.
The company recognizes 10 holidays during the year, including the employee's birthday.
Paid Time Off
Team members earn PTO time based on their length of service with the company and can roll over 40 hours of unused PTO per year.
Team members may receive a 20 percent discount off market rent if residing in an applicable Gene B. Glick apartment community.
This program is designed to assist team members who are increasing their career-related skills and knowledge through courses taken at outside institutions. Team members are eligible to receive 50 percent reimbursement for tuition expenses for career-related courses.
