| The Gene B. Glick Company received the National 2000 American
Business Ethics Award (ABEA) from the Society of Financial Service Professionals. In
making the presentation to company founder Gene Glick, Society president Clark B.
McCleary stated, "We are pleased to present this award to a company which truly
represents what's right about American business." The award was established to
recognize companies that "demonstrate a firm commitment to ethical business
practices in everyday operations, management philosophy and response to crises or
challenges. Nominated companies are judged on a comprehensive list of criteria that
examine the organization's communication and utilization of its ethics in dealings with
employees, customers, suppliers and the community at large." The award was presented
at a ceremony and luncheon on August 17, 2000 in Indianapolis. Gene Glick stated, "I
accept this award on behalf of our company associates, who are most responsible for our
earning this honor."
